Mary J. Edwards, an associate Minister of the Community Baptist Church, pastored by the Reverend Sam Roberson, accepted her call into the ministry in 1990, was licensed September 1, 1991, and ordained November 30, 2003. Her motto is “all that I am, all that I have, all that I ever hope to be, I owe it all to the Lord.”
Mary is a graduate of the Gamaliel Training Institute of Evangelism, a Christian counselor for Young Women, Sunday school and Evangelism facilitator. She also served as the Coordinator of vacation bible school, co-coordinator of the Sunday school Department, and holds various certificates in other elective Christian Education courses. She is the Pastors armor bearer and church Office Administrator.
She has been married for forty-four years to Roy Edwards, a mother of three, grandmother of four. She has retired from the Community College of Southern Nevada after thirty-six years of service.
