Sam Roberson, Pastor
 
Accepted Christ at the age of 16 at Paradise Baptist Church in Newellton, Louisiana under the pastorate of Reverend H.Y. Taylor.  1957 moved to Las Vegas and united with the Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor F. N. Addison.  Announced Calling to the Gospel Ministry and preached first sermon May 25, 1965.  In 1966, began a 31-year career in radio broadcasting.  Called to pastor the Community Baptist Church of Henderson, Nevada in February 1977 and continues to serve as their pastor.

Work History

Many jobs in and around Las Vegas:  Hotels, golf courses, construction laborer, cement mason and auto detailing.  Gospel promoter: bringing many groups and quartets to Las Vegas.  In 1975 Reverend James Cleveland and the Gospel Music Workshop of America Board Meeting.
